    Summer’s List…Things I Wanna Do 
    A Work in Progress

    1. make a quilt
    2. get a poem published
    3. see a bear in the wild
    4. brew my own chai
    5. call my grandmas regularly
    6. practice Lent each year (in my pseudo-Protestant pagan way)
    7. honor and cherish Ken; never stop telling him each day that I love him
    8. become one of those people who sends snailmail cards on birthdays and holidays
    9. make a mosaic - a big one like a table or patio
    10. stay decaf
    11. pay off credit card debt
    12. once credit card is paid off, reward myself with a cash-bought DSLR and macro lense
    13. make recipe boxes for sis and cousins, give them new recipes every year
    14. learn Spanish
    15. own a house. make it a home.
    16. build a greenhouse and grow orchids
    17. tackle my fear of pastry and make to-die for pie crust
    18. really learn guitar
    19. get a couple of my best photos printed big, framed, and hung up
    20. frame Grandma’s intaglio prints
    21. sew Christmas stockings
    22. use that spa gift certificate!
    23. make great grandma’s yeast rolls
    24. backpack Glacier National Park
    25. hike Machu Picchu while chewing coca leaves. buy colorful handmade fabrics and share smiles with indigenous people.
    26. run my toes through black sand beaches in New Zealand while kissing Ken
    27. make tamales
    28. become a mom and raise our children
    29. have an Australian shephard and a Lab and take them camping
    30. garden every year and journal the experience
    31. grow a huge pumpkin (in time for Halloween)
    32. grow our own tomatoes…and can them: 2007
    33. save and share seeds
    34. grow our own vegetables from seed. every year.
    35. practice using my words; stop being so snappy
    36. donate money to a worthy cause every month
    37. buy a rug in Turkey
    38. get that ocean/fish tattoo for my 33rd birthday
    39. set up a college fund for my niece
    40. hula in Hawaii. go fishing and catch a mahi mahi.
    41. join a CSA
    42. see fall leaves in Maine and eat lobster and snuggle with Ken by the sea
    43. paint pottery. give some away. and keep some.
    44. visit Spain. eat tapas and paella. see La Sagrada Familia.
    45. swim in the Meditteranean Sea
    46. wander through Rome. listen to rock-n-roll on my IPOD while inside St. Peter’s Cathedral. see the Sistine Chapel. 
    47. stroll the streets of Pompei
    48. practice yoga
    49. cherish each day
    50. write a haiku every Friday
    51. pray before ancient Buddhas in southeast Asia
    52. take mopeds to see the valley of the butterflies on the Greek Island Rhodes
    53. pick peaches and make jam
    54. learn to rock climb
    55. start a cooking club
    56. eat locally, eat seasonally
    57. organize a week-long Yosemite trip with family and friends
    58. learn more about my Native American heritage
    59. photograph tropical birds in South America
    60. catch (and release) a marlin in the Gulf of California
    61. get one of those Japanese hutches I love
    62. design and build a waterfall and koi pond
    63. buy beads in Bali
    64. catch salmon and smoke it in our backyard.
    65. raise awareness about ocean protection (whales, coral bleaching, loggerhead turtles, overfishing)
    66. through-hike the John Muir Trail, finish by peaking Mt. Whitney
    67. attend a day of track-and-field at an Olympics in a foreign country
    68. create a family tree using Grandma’s geneology research. make it pretty. give framed copies to sis and the cousins.
    69. take my mom to Tuscany. rent motorcycles and visit castles.
    70. work a project with Water for People
    71. volunteer in Nancy’s classroom on a regular basis
    72. make my own prayer flags. fly them from trees when we go camping.
    73. find a carved stone Guan Yin statue and find the perfect place for it in the garden
    74. plant a garden for butterflies and hummingbirds
    75. study for and pass the last part of my engineering exam
    76. see Mom and Sis at least once a month
    77. have an art studio
    78. make really good paella
    79. Travel to Trinidad to See the Nesting Of the Giant Leatherbacks
